Sukhoi Su-35 Flanker E is currently the most advanced Russian jet fighter in serial production. It is a successor of Su-27 Flanker, the main Soviet air-to-air superiority fighter that became famous in the 1980s. The Su-35 Flanker-E is an upgrade, featuring improved systems, higher maneuverability, upgraded cockpit /LCD displays/ and wider range of weapons compared to the Su-27. Currently, Su-35 is considered as the most agile jet fighter due to its super-maneuverability thanx to its superb aerodynamics and thrust vectoring nozzles.

Su-35 Flanker-E is in service with China, Russian Air Force and Egypt. Potential buyers of Flanker-E are Turkey, India and Algeria. Su-35 is to be succeeded by Su-57 Felon fifth generation Russian Stealth fighter in the next decade or so. However, currently, Sukhoi Su-35 is the best fighter jet that Russian Air Force uses. Alongside with older Su-27 and MiG-31 it is the backbone of the Russian Air Defense.
