Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is a single-seat, single-engine, subsonic carrier-borne jet. It was developed in the late 50s as a light attack aircraft for the US Marines and US NAVY. A-4 Skyhawk was designed by Ed Heinemann and quickly gained the nickname “Heinemann’s Hot Rod”. The plane was used extensively in Vietnam war and was sold abroad to various countries.
Douglas Skyhawk was cheap, simple, rugged and nimble airplane and proved very useful in many conflicts, amongst which are Yom Kippur war, Falklands war and Desert Storm. Its modern popularity comes from its main role as an adversary/aggressor jet in the 1986 movie classic Top Gun. A-4 Skyhawk is still in use today both in military and private operation.
Rhino Red Prints drawings are vector file bundles designed to serve the basic needs of various sectors. 3D designers, Publishers, Decal Makers, RC and Plastic Model Makers often need profile or top views and even sometimes combination of those, featuring different aircraft. Such drawings take time and effort to be completed. Red Rhino Prints drawings are made to be very close to reality, but does not represent absolutely accurate blueprints of the vehicles depicted. The blueprints in the form of file bundle are in 48th scale and are close to reality, but there might be discrepancies with the real vehicles depicted.
