Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was a four-engine World War II bomber, developed in the 1930s and used extensively in late war Germany bombings. For its time, B-17 was considered very fast and high flying strategic bomber, with considerable protective armament and long range. B-17 had very high survivability rate and was loved by its crews and serviceman.
B-17 Flying Fortress in its variants is the aircraft that dropped the largest amount of bombs during the Second World War. It is credited with more than 640 000 thousand tons of bombs deployed, being around 1/3 of the whole bomb tonnage delivered during the war. B-17 was also used as a search-and-rescue aircraft, command center, transport and anti-submarine plane.
Rhino Red Prints drawings are vector file bundles designed to serve the basic needs of various sectors. 3D designers, Publishers, Decal Makers, RC and Plastic Model Makers often need profile or top views and even sometimes combination of those, featuring different aircraft. Such drawings take time and effort to be completed. Red Rhino Prints drawings are made to be very close to reality, but does not represent absolutely accurate blueprints of the vehicles depicted. The blueprints in the form of file bundle are in 48th scale and are close to reality, but there might be discrepancies with the real vehicles depicted.
